sickled feet

hello
my dance teacher keeps telling me that i sickle my feet (especially my left foot). i keep trying really hard not to sickle it but whenever i have my foot in retiere or attitude my foot sickles. does anybody know any exercises that could help???

Hi Mazzy - I wont pretend that I know much about this, but I did a quick search for you and it seems that lots of people recomend using a Theraband.

Form what I understand it is basically like a long headband made from something strong but stretchy like lycra.

Sickling occurs because the muscles at the outside of your ankles are not quite strong enough.

There are various excersizes you can do to make them stronger - have a search around.

Sorry it's a poor answer, but it's not really my speciality.

i will have a look on google too - never thought about doing that!!!! the theraband thingy sounds like a good idea too!

Like Ferd said try and use a theraband you can get tnem from most dance supplers they are also call exercise bands. they are only about
